PASSING OF KAREN SMITH
With sadness but joy in the promise of resurrection through Christ, we announce the passing into God's eternal presence of our sister Karen Smith. Our service of Christian burial for Karen will be held at St. Mark’s on Monday, March 30, beginning at 10:00 AM, with a reception following. Interment at Quantico National Cemetery will conclude our services beginning at 2:00 PM. Find the service bulletin HERE.

Passing of Evelyn Cassell
It is with sadness but joy in the promise of resurrection through Christ that we announce the passing into God's eternal presence of our sister Evelyn Cassell, who peacefully entered into God’s eternal presence on the morning of December 4.
A service of Christian burial for Evelyn was held at St. Mark’s on Thursday, December 11, beginning at 9:30 AM, with a light reception following. Find the service bulletin HERE.
Interment at Quantico National Cemetery beginning at 12:30 PM concluded our services.

PASSING OF The Rev. Neil Davidson
From the Synod Office:
The Rev. Neil Davidson has died. Arrangements are being made for a service, and we will share that information to the entire synod when details become available. Our prayers are with his family and all who knew and loved him. Rev. Davidson was retired but served recently as a supply pastor in several congregations in our synod.

Passing of Tom Zack
With profound sadness but hope in the resurrection of Christ, we announce the passing of our brother in Christ, Tom Zack. Tom recently suffered a severe head injury coming into church. He and Mary were surrounded by the love and presence of God through St. Mark’s as he went to the hospital and throughout the following week. Please keep Mary and their daughters in your prayers.
A service for Tom was held at St. Mark’s on Monday, November 3 at 2:00 PM.

Ruth Williams—Celebration of Life Service
A celebration of life service for Ruth Williams was held at 10:00 AM this Saturday, October 25th at Lord of Life Lutheran Church, 5114 Twinbrook Road, Fairfax. A reception at the church after the service followed. Ruth was a long-time former member of St. Mark’s who passed away October 17th after a lengthy battle with cancer.
