Easy Ways You Can Be a Youth Mission Builder

  • Designated Gift
Consider a gift of appreciated property or stock.  Realize income tax advantages while investing in the mission of your church.

  • Bequest by Will or Living Trust
When you write your will or add a codicil to update a current will, include St Mark’s Lutheran Church to receive a percentage of your estates.  The same applies for a living trust.
  • Payable on Death (POD) Accounts
Name our church as a beneficiary of your CD, money market, or savings account.  (You  still retain control of this asset during your lifetime.)

  • Life Insurance
Give a paid-up policy you don’t need and get a tax deduction; or designate a percentage of an existing or new policy.

  • Gift Annuity
May increase your lifetime income (part tax-free), qualify for an immediate income tax deduction and provide for a future gift to the St Mark’s Lutheran Church Youth Mission Endowment Fund.  Your income can start now or at a later date.

  • Charitable Remainder Trust
A special way for people with significant assets to increase current income and avoid all capital gains taxes, plus qualify for substantial income tax deductions.  Funded with securities, mutual funds, real estate or cash.  St Mark’s receives the trust “remainder” after you are gone.

  • IRAs and Other Retirement Income Programs
Name the church to receives the balance of an account when you pass on.  Avoid potential future triple taxes on retirement accounts.

  • Give Your House, Farm or Vacation Home
And retain the right to live there too
