St Marks Troop 881 offers young men 11 to 18 years old opportunities to have fun while acquiring knowledge and developing leadership skills. Serving both youth who are members of St Marks and nonmember youth in the local neighborhood, Troop 881 has been sponsored by St Marks since 1958.
Though a program stresses outdoor activitiy, community good turns, and acquiring scouting skills; young men also improve their physical fitness, and practice sitizenship.
In addition to supporting Scout youth, St Marks provides facilties for monthly "Old Dominion" District meetings that help BSA leaders organize support for unit activities.
Troop 881 assembles every Tuesday evening from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at St. Marks Lutheran Church, 5800 Backlick Road, Springfield, VA 22150.
